Nippon Steel Corporation achieved a world-first 43% reduction in CO₂ emissions at its 12m³ Super COURSE50 test blast furnace in the Kimitsu Area of its East Japan Works by using blast furnace hydrogen reduction technology with heated hydrogen injection (achieving the development target ahead of schedule).
